Standards Council of Canada

The Standards Council of Canada is a federal Crown corporation with the mandate to promote efficient and effective standardization. Located in Ottawa, the Standards Council has a 15-member governing Council and a staff of approximately 80. The organization reports to Parliament through the Minister of Industry and oversees Canada's National Standards System.

As a member of the SCC, Sericon Technology is working with several international standards organizations affiliated with ISO and IEC to help define the standards that impact our technology.

  
 UPnP™

By defining and publishing UPnP™ device and service descriptions, members of the UPnP™ Forum are enabling the emergence of easily connected devices and simplifying the implementation of home and corporate networks. In doing so, UPnP™ Forum members are creating new product opportunities for their companies and for other organizations.

As a member of the UPnP™ Forum, Sericon Technology is helping to create the standards for helping people access their home networks easily and securely.
